The sludgy hardcore supergroup named after a Darkthrone lyric was founded by singer Philip Anselmo (Pantera, Down), guitarist Jimmy Bower and drummer Joe Fazzio, played Ozzfest 2004 and notably featured Hank Williams III among its ranks for a time.

A Lethal Dose of American Hatred is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Superjoint Ritual. Former "touring-only" bassist Hank Williams III is featured on this album. Nearly every song begins with a count-in by vocalist Phil Anselmo
