  • One thing is for sure: Kieran Hebden knows no boredom. When he's not producing for others, like recently for Omar Souleyman, he's tinkering with remixes, pushing band projects or recording his own material. That means: Again an album of Four Tet reaches us, the second one this year. It's called "Beautiful Rewind" and contains eleven new tracks. The emphasis is on "new", because the work, which is available in all formats, is the first long player with original songs since "There Is Love In You" from 2010. If that's not a reason to celebrate
    As usual, also on "Beautiful Rewind" the tracks can't be neatly genre, even though they form a coherent whole. Driving percussions, house noises, a pinch of soul, shimmering beeps, rumble sounds and jazzy moods are never missing and are on board again this time. Thus "Beautiful Rewind" sounds typically Four Tet, but by no means boring, but freshly picked. In short: With Four Tet everything remains new!Reviews
