Don Was, the 6x GRAMMYr Award-winning musician, producer and composer, pays tribute to his hometown of Detroit with his new band, Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble, and their debut album Groove In The Face of Adversity. The band includes long-time collaborators like saxophonist Dave McMurray, keyboardist Luis Resto, trombonist Vincent Chandler, trumpeter John Douglas, drummer Jeff Canady, percussionist Mahindi Masai, guitarist Wayne Gerard and vocalist Steffanie Christi'an.
