Immerse yourself in Amaiwana's latest project, a blend of Shibuya-kei, new wave, and techno pop. The EPs "NEW SHIBUYA" and "NEW WAVE," released together in October 2024, feature double A-sides mixed and mastered by American musician Ginger Root.

"NEW SHIBUYA" includes "COVER GIRLS," a track featuring Shibuya-kei icon Maki Nomiya, bridging the Shibuya-kei style with the Reiwa era. The EP also features "Shanghai Shoujo," part of the Shanghai trilogy, alongside Amaiwana's previous releases "Shanghai Wakusei" (2020) and "Shanghai Aibiki" (2023).

"NEW WAVE" offers a self-remix of the tracks from "NEW SHIBUYA," reimagined in techno pop and new wave styles. Influenced by bands like Plastics, Hikashu, Miharu Koshi, and 80s techno pop, this EP provides a fresh take on the same songs with entirely new arrangements.

The jacket art, designed by Amaiwana himself, visually captures the essence of both "Shibuya-kei" and "New Wave," offering a unique look at this exciting musical project.
